...that The Olde Prairie Register and my business, Holly Tree Primitives is closing down. Sadly, this is true, but for happy reasons.
After a back injury in early Jan., I was forced away from the computer and onto bed rest for several weeks. Recoup has been hard and is still ongoing, but what I gained is very precious. I got a whole lot of time. Time to just be with my kids and my husband and enjoy my family. I realized, that I have been missing out on all this. This is what life used to be like before I signed on for an online business/ hobby and I soooooooooo miss it. And so even though I am saddened to leave my business and magazine behind, I am joyful for all that I am getting back in return. God has blessed me with so much, it is time I got back to enjoying it and savoring it for all it is worth. Children aren't little forever and time on this earth is short. I intend to get back to living it, away from my computer screen.
Thanks to all of you who have supported my business and magazine. Thanks for reading my blog and cheering me on. I will miss this community, but just because I will not be an "outpost" so to speak, doesn't mean I won't be hopping around your blogs and buying your primitive goodies. You all are just too wonderful for me to abandon all that.
Thanks so much for your understanding,
Michele

I am so proud of you for making this decision. I came 'online' just last year, my 2nd year with an empty nest. I needed something to fill my time, and thinking ahead to retirement, it will be something for me to focus on.
But I have always wondered how moms with small children keep up with their homes and families and their online places. While I will miss reading your online magazine, I am so happy for you and your choice. Have a great weekend. Take care ~Natalie

Plain-n-Simple!
My children have all flown the nest now..and I for one can say..you have made a wise decision. You will have no regrets and a lifetime to make crafts once their needs are filled. God bless you and hoping your back is healing well.
So sorry to hear this, but glad you will have more time with our family!
I am happy for you!! I have basically taken the summer off as well and have enjoyed being with my family and do NOT miss the headaches of eBay... even lost my PowerSeller status... OH DARN~~~ NOT! What I have gained has been so much more and I applaud your decision. Are you on facebook? It's a great place to keep in touch with friends and much less "work" :) Take care xox
